OUR SERVICES INCLUDE

Personalized health and performance programs individually customized for all stages of life and physical condition. We provide psychiatric and psychological counseling, neuropsychological evaluation, metabolic assessment, medication management, nutrition assessment and counseling, and neurofeedback training.

Performance Focus areas: Executive and Elite Coaching for Optimal Mental and Physical Performance and Resilience.

Clinical Focus areas: Addiction, Obsessive Compulsive, Attention Deficit, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Stress and Learning Difficulties, Headaches, PTSD and TBI.

Normative neurotraining using quantitative EEG (rEEG and qEEG) is used for individual assessment, medication selection and management, and neurofeedback treatment customized to each person and their condition. Z-score neurotraining adjusts individual brain patterns to an improved state, and serial qEEG mapping guides training and med adjustments and monitors individual progress and outcome.

Nutrition Focus areas: Molecular and Genetic Assessments to identify individual metabolic imbalances related to food intake, allergy, absorption and utilization.

Design of Diet and Nutritional plans based on individual needs, imbalances, or disease state with our team of Registered Dietitians.

We work with you on a mind-and-body wellness plan that includes functional nutrition (the right food for the right conditions) and neurofeedback training (improves sleep, focus, mood and performance) to help you reach your peak potential and life satisfaction.

Who We Are:

Glenn Horwitz, PhD, Clinical Psychology

Dr. Horwitz earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from The University of California School of Professional Psychology.† He has been practicing since 2001 and currently holds licensure in CA, VA, and D.C. where heís gained specialized experience in a variety of clinical settings with child, adolescent and adult individuals and groups. 

†††† Glenn completed a 2.5 year psychology residency where he specialized in behavioral and psychophysiological assessment in youth and adult populations. He is presently enrolled in the advanced psychotherapy program (Modern Perspectives on Psychotherapy) at the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis and is completing the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) Program for EEG Neurofeedback and Quantitative EEG certification.

†††† As a clinical researcher, Glenn served as a supervising psychologist for a large scale CDC sponsored pediatric research study and has directed APPIC approved internships in Clinical Psychology. Glenn has supervised and taught psychotherapy and assessment methods to pre and post doctoral graduate students and medical residents.  His skills include psychoanalysis, psychological testing and behavioral assessment and counseling in conjunction with neurofeedback therapy, which currently shows considerable promise as an adjunct treatment for many forms of anxiety, mood, cognitive and behavioral imbalances.

 

Lucy Galleher, MA., Performance Psychology

Lucy Galleher is a Sports and Performance specialist who works with professional and semi-pro athletes and high performing executives.† Lucy was a pair skater on the United States Figure Skating Team and a two time U.S. National Championship competitor.†† She has a Masterís degree in Sports and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver with a specialization in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback training for improving competitive performance.

†††† Lucy takes on the roll as Director of Performance Coaching at PEAK NT providing consulting and training services to individuals and groups seeking elite Athletic and Executive Performance Enhancement.† Our peak performance program creates an individualized training package that may include neuropsychological assessment, metabolic testing, functional nutrition, neuroimaging, and cognitive-behavioral neurotraining.

††††† Her specialization is in personal coaching combined with neurofeedback to individualize training routines and optimize mental and physical function of individuals performing at elite levels.† Lucy is a Member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the United States Figure Skating Association. Lucy is currently participating in the BCIA Certification Program to obtain her EEG and QEEG biofeedback certifications.

 

Don DuRousseau, MA, Cognitive Neuroscience

Don is a cognitive neuroscientist with 25 years of brain research experience in electroencephalography (EEG) and brain-machine systems. Don is Executive Director of PEAK Neurotraining Solutions where he applies more than 10 years clinical experience in cognitive assessment and neurofeedback therapy.† Don was educated in neuroscience at The University of California, and in business and public policy at The George Washington University.† Don has been a Principal Investigator for the National Institutes of Mental Health, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate, and has patented several neuroimaging technologies. His specialization is in neurofeedback training for youth and adults with AD/HD, Aspergerís, Autism, PTSD and mTBI.† His current interest is in promoting the development of new policies spanning the ethical use of neurotechnologies in clinical treatment, performance enhancement and over-the-counter education and gaming applications.
